 Description  « Hide
During a text-mode install, the display is covered with messages that appear to be related to modules "WARNING: /lib/modules/.... needs unknown symbol VMCIEvent_Subscriber..." and "WARNING: no modules ahci found for kernel 2.6.29..." (there were many messages that scrolled by, so these snippets were only two of many).

This happened after all the tarballs from the appliance installer had been laid down on disk.

The install completed successfully, however.

The warnings for kernel can be ignored. They were before as modules, now they are inbuilt in kernel instead. So thats why it gives warnings about it.

Indeed, it is only cosmetic, but I wanted people to know that this did happen, in case they wanted to fix cosmetic problems as well...

this is due to the presence of kernel:vmware ... (which is useful in case ppl using ... vmware)
