Summary pretty much says it all. Any write operation on the WebDAV share seems to cause nautilus to restart. The only thing in .xsession-errors that looks remotely instructive is this cryptic warning:

(nautilus:4474): GVFS-WARNING **: Invalid attribute type 0, ignoring
